This topic is minor compared to the major tasks assigned to city council, but the overhead display information for the citizens at meetings could sometimes be better. I have attended most of the council and DDA meetings since moving to the city in 2019. Once in a while however the information on the display is hard to read or the details are only in the printed packet for the council.
I would like all the meeting info to be clearly presented to attendees. Business world meetings always have a “slide deck” so that all can follow along. Many citizens are coming from work and taking their personal time to be involved in the city. I don’t want them to have to go to the city website and print the packet to be informed. Most of the time the information presented is top notch, but I promise to check this prior to each meeting.
Examples of items that need good visuals:
*pictures of potential new developments, buildings, changes, etc. (not just words)
*charts and tables of data that are large enough to be readable
*summaries of proposals, financials, etc. that are easy to understand
