Perry & Teresa Beachum: Eric Bartkus will bring common sense along with no hidden agendas for the citizens of Lowell. Please join us with supporting Eric with your vote for city council.
Bill & Brenda Schreur: We have known Eric and his family for nearly 25 years. During that time, Eric has demonstrated to us the wisdom, professionalism, knowledge of issues and social skills which would make him an obvious choice for Lowell City Council. The City of Lowell has faced many controversial and divisive issues in the past, and will no doubt see more going forward. We believe Eric’s honesty and personal convictions will guide his decision making as council member, and provide a degree of wisdom needed to make common sense decisions that city residents can and will be proud of. We wholeheartedly encourage voters to cast their vote for Eric Bartkus on Tuesday November 7.
Jim Hodges: Eric will be great for Lowell.
Chipper Dipper: WOW! For a resident who is one master’s degree class away from a degree in special education, and extensive experience working with kids who are on the spectrum including my own son, I am very, very impressed! Thank you for taking time to respond, and, especially the dedication you have for our city. Based solely on my minimal observation via social media and other aspects within our community, I find a significant division among many residence. I think it is important that differences are set aside and that the person who engages in leadership of a community/city has a very non-judgmental approach and display through actions. I truly appreciate your engagement, response, and passion for our city. I do feel that there is a present lack of care in that with some of our current council members.
Al Mathews, Tip Top Gravel: As a former council member and after reading your list of things to do, I support your passion. One that was really important to me was training new members when they come into office. If the city residents don’t know you they should meet you!! Thank you for all the years we have known each other, and our friendship.
Gail Roderick: You have our family’s vote! The current council & CM are doing a fantastic job and you will fit in and keep the ball rolling no doubt!
Amy Gless: I just want to highlight how impressed I am with the thorough and thoughtful way this candidate for city council has outlined his platform.
Mayor Mike DeVore: So glad you chose to run. Hope to be sitting on the dais together here in a few months!
Theresa Mundt: Vote for Eric Bartkus
Greg Canfield: I would like to add an enthusiastic endorsement for Eric Bartkus for City Council! Eric is very intelligent (engineer), self-employed business owner, (of multiple businesses) who understands cash flow, revenue and expenses. One of the businesses that he co-owns employs special needs individuals, giving them a purpose and opportunities that a lot of us take for granted. Eric asks questions and won’t be a rubber stamp guy on the city council. This is why Eric gets my vote for City Council!
Duane Hamilton: I have been friends with Eric and Beryl for several years , and I can honestly say you will not meet a more dedicated, compassionate and moral couple on their outlook on family, friends, business and life in general. Eric will be a perfect fit for our town of Lowell and will help steer us towards a family friendly, stable, economic and efficient small town Cast your vote for Eric.
Helen Meyaard: I think Eric is a man of very high integrity and has a huge heart for the city of Lowell. He will do a wonderful job on city council.
Jodie Vokes-Seese: Thank you Eric for posting this. I’m an affordable housing advocate and I wasn’t aware of this! It’s a critical piece of an updated master plan. Your ideas are essential to incorporate as our community moves forward!
Lukas Van Rensburg: Eric for City Council! You will not be disappointed.
Bruce E. Matthews: Eric is the real deal, Lowell friends. Be sure and give him a good look, and hopefully your vote.
Deb and David Galbreath: My husband and I met Eric and his wife several years ago. We are so glad to call them our friends. Eric has a very positive interest in the Lowell Community and would be a great asset if elected to the city council. VOTE FOR ERIC.
Clint Forester: Was a wonderful post and you will certainly be a very qualified member of the Lowell City council. My hope it’s removal wasn’t removed for political motivation. Best of Luck.
Don DeJong: Eric is worthy of your vote. To be a business owner today you have to problem solve on the fly and be disciplined with the finances- that’s Eric
Ron P Steffens: thank you for attending these meetings. I am glad to see someone running for city council is actually taking interest in our communities well being, and not just glad handing, and kissing babies. Good luck to you sir.
Heidi Lynne: As an LGBTQ person employed by AW, I can verify his statement is true. Eric and Beryl are good people who are already serving our community, and I think he would be an asset in this new role as council member. He certainly has the votes of all in my household!
Dawn Rupprecht: Thanks Heidi! That’s so great to hear! As I’ve told people, I am in Ada but I have family and friends in Lowell. We were talking about Eric (very positively) last night. I’ll be sure to let them know what you had to say!
Chris Fleszar: Thank you for posting. I’m reading very closely. I appreciate your dedication to financial responsibility and treating all people with respect. You are correct, we all have personal bias, but that can not be a factor in decisions for all.
Joella Miller: If I lived in lowell proper, I think Eric would get my vote.
Rob VanderJaqt: We’re outside the city limits, literally on the border in Vergennes Township, so unfortunately we cannot vote for city council (to my knowledge). But, we have frontage on Flat River Dr and N. Hudson, both main roads coming into town from the north. We’re happy to place a sign on whichever side you want. Or both, lol.
John White: So far, I think that you are the only candidate that I am comfortable voting for. You have my support!! ![]()
Eric Feirich: If I had a vote you would definitely have mine also (note from EB: Eric and Brittany F purchased my home in Lowell twp after living there 23 years and still likes me)
Jody Horton: You have my vote!
Jill Wenger: Such an asset to the community. Huge thanks to you and your family for doing what you do.
Rich Riley: Eric is a man of integrity
Kristen Petrick: My initial draw to Eric was actually due to his and his wife’s business in Lowell. My son has autism and it takes a special person to not just accept people from all backgrounds and skills, but to also acknowledge the skills and raise them up in the community by providing opportunities to work and contribute to the world in a meaningful way through your business plan. As I read more about Eric and his passion for seeking the counsel seat, I was so impressed, not just by his 21 promises, but the extent of research and collaboration he engaged in to form these promises. Someone who represents Lowell surely should be looking through a variety of lenses to make informed decisions and he has exemplified that in his campaign. The added bonus has been his transparency. Comments, questions, and responses have all been posted on his page so voters know his authentic self. Thank you, Eric, for your continued service to our community and I hope to have you represent us citizens on the council soon! Vote for Eric!”
